Friends and family, my favorite time of the year is right here!! My joy is in place and nothing can bring me down. Oh don’t get me wrong; I still feel sorrow and happiness and confusion and fatigue—you know what I mean. This year my focus is on family, friends and sharing. Would that I could place the God given joy that I feel in my heart in your hearts. I’m calling on you all to put away the frenzy, doubt, financial lack, fear, helplessness and general depression that usually plague the season and ask God for a liberal dollop of real Joy. When my friends and family are OK, then so am I. Know that I am praying daily for us all and much love, peace and joy to all of you.

Marcia with the guest that appeared with her on Atlanta Live on Thursday, November 13, 2014. Marcia really enjoyed all the quest and loved the voices of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church Levite’s of Norcross, GA. If you are in the Norcross area you should check them out!
Marcia had a great time performing at the showcase and was honored to meet all the other performers. Props to Tawanda Shambley for organizing a great showcase. Also thanks to Earnest for the advice!
Marcia attended the Independent Gospel Artist Alliance Conference (July 2014) and performed on the Thursday night showcase. In the showcase Marcia sang 2 songs from her new CD “Counting My Blessings” and above is an abbreviated version of ”Joy”. Marcia stated…. “This was a great experience and I totally enjoyed the conference”. Please forgive the person (me) taking iPhone video but I think I was enjoying the music and not paying attention to my video skills.

Counting My Blessings resounds with a very personal heartfelt conveyance of “Thank You” to a God of true mercy and grace. The 12 original songs, written by Marcia, give insight into a heart humbled by those blessings. Her intricate use of a contemporary/traditional blend of gospel vocals simply gives wings to the message.
