Counting My Blessings resounds with a very personal heartfelt conveyance of “Thank You” to a God of true mercy and grace. The 12 original songs, written by Marcia, give insight into a heart humbled by those blessings. Her intricate use of a contemporary/traditional blend of gospel vocals simply gives wings to the message.
Marcia and Rodney were visiting their granddaughter Quinn after church and Rodney caught this precious moment on his phone.
Marcia Love releases her new single “Counting My Blessings” available now on all major digital download sites. “Counting My Blessings” is an upbeat contemporary, jazzy song with a message that transcends time. It reminds us that God blesses us in many ways that we don’t always notice until we look back.
“Counting” is born of a series of events that occurred in Marcia’s life in the first half of 2012, where God’s blessings were powerfully evident. Starting the second half of 2012, Marcia and her husband looked back on all the blessings that God had bestowed upon their family and how he was always present during every minute of the day. They noticed that a common phrase kept re-occurring in their discussions……”That was God.” They repeated that phrase so many times that they simply lost count. From out of that enlightenment came “Counting My Blessings.”
Marcia will be releasing a 12 song CD entitled “Counting My Blessings” in the second quarter of 2014. She states, “I am so excited about this project and God has given me a powerful message to share with everyone, I’ve just chosen to share it through song. If I could subtitle it, I’d simply say listen to the WORDS.”

Family provided background vocals for “Joy” from her new CD “Counting My Blessings.” When you read Marcia’s Bio, she talks about singing with her family and siblings during her childhood and adolescent years and this concert gave her the opportunity to repeat history. Truly a family affair!
Marcia Love will be going home to Durham, N.C. to perform at her former church home, North East Baptist Church. Since Marcia released her debut CD (Jesus on My Side) in November 2011, it has been her desire to go home and worship with hometown family and friends. This desire was delayed by schedule and illness, but now, all road blocks have been removed and Marcia will appear in concert Friday, July 26, 2013 starting at 7:00 P.M. She will be performing selections from her current CD Jesus On My Side and from her New CD scheduled for release in late June. Marcia loves singing with her sisters (Doris Eurquhart, Vicki Heath, and Donna Rosser) and coming home provides this rare opportunity. Marcia and her sisters will join together during this concert to sing one or two songs.
She can’t wait to come home to family and friends!!! See you there!
Marcia Love is back in the studio working on her second CD with a planned release date of June 2013. Marcia was asked to be a guest artist for a recording class at the local community college. The request was for two songs so Marcia got with her producer and completed 2 songs. They recorded those songs for the class project but Marcia and her producer weren’t finished. What started as two songs is now a 12 song CD project with Marcia writing all lyrics, singing all background vocals and leads.
